Northumberland County Council’s Staff Bank provides a pool of highly skilled temporary workers who are looking for a long-term placement, or who want to work flexibly within the council. If a team needs support due to sickness, common staff shortages, or general vacancies, they call upon registered bank members to fill available assignments. These can be filled via a long-term assignment for up to 12 months or on an ad hoc basis.

The service:

We are seeking to recruit an Admin Assistant to join our Short Term Support Services based in South East Northumberland. This exciting opportunity allows for skills to be developed and nurtured in both an acute hospital setting as well as a community setting.

This is a fantastic opportunity to use your administrative skills and join friendly teams based at The Harbour Suite at Blyth Community Hospital. This post will be based within Blyth Community Hospital. 

The role:

The successful applicant will provide a comprehensive admin service including:

· Dealing with client referrals into the service.

· Maintaining databases.

· Using Swift and other bespoke systems.

· Other admin duties such as answering the telephones, filing, photocopying, adding and creating client files.

We require a good team player who is enthusiastic, flexible and adaptable with a high level of communication skills (both written and verbal). If this is you, we want to hear from you!

This position is full time (37 Hours) and Fixed Term until 31.12.2024.
