The role
We are looking for an attendant to work for the Facilities Management Team based in Blyth, occasionally Morpeth and other areas if required. The team consists of over 20 Cleaners and 4 Caretakers and part of your role will be to assist the Facilities Supervisor in the day to day supervision of this team.
The successful candidate will be a proactive individual with a ‘can do’ attitude and a range of practical and customer service skills.
The role can typically consist of DIY jobs, office moves (moving bulky items of furniture), sickness cover for Cleaners, carrying out alarm testing, handing out and picking up staff documentation, meeting contractors on site, opening and locking up buildings and dealing with building users and staff members on a regular basis.
This is a Permanent Full-Time post based at Blyth Civic Centre. The working hours are 7am-3pm but there may be a requirement to work outside of these hours on an ad hoc basis.
Requirements of the job include physical fitness, some knowledge of health and safety issues and flexibility.
