Job Information

Northumberland Archives is looking to recruit an Archives Assistant to join our team of six Archives Assistants to support the work of a busy County Archive Service across a range of our activities. You will be expected to welcome visitors to our public searchrooms and provide advice and guidance to users. In addition, Archives Assistants provide support across the range of our activities - collections management, digitisation, education, outreach and research. A knowledge of family and local history would be an advantage. The post is based at Northumberland Archives, Woodhorn, Ashington, Northumberland, but the postholder will be expected to spend regular rostered time in the newly created Archives space at County Hall, Morpeth and work at other sites as required. 

The postholder will be a frontline representative of Northumberland Archives and must have excellent customer care skills, the ability to work effectively as part of a team and have a flexible approach to work.
