There are opportunities for 1 Permanent Advanced Practitioner and 1 Advanced Practitioner for 12 Month Contract (covering ML) in First Contact and MASH Assessment Team .The team undertake assessments including child protection enquiries and those at immediate risk and assess those children in need to identify the best support for families and children.
Northumberland has an established and effective multi agency MASH Team that we are proud of. You will contribute to the work of the MASH. You will be able to build effective relationships, carry out in-depth assessments, be confident in partnership working with children, families and professionals, enabling their full participation in assessment, planning, review and decision making.

The role of Advanced Practitioner is to lead the way, role model good practice and offer guidance and support to the social work team in working with children and families in need and in crisis. We offer very flexible and supportive working conditions with an emphasis on work life balance
The role of Advanced Practitioner in Northumberland is developing to support career progression and recognize the skill and experience you have. You will be able to work independently and be a key team player and be able to support less experienced social workers and students in your team.

You should hold a relevant Social Work qualification such as the Social Work Degree, DipSW, CQSW or CSS and be registered with the SWE.
