Admin Assistant Band 3, 0.6 FTE Term time only. Fixed term until 31/03/2025. 

Based at Northumbria House, Cramlington. You have a rare opportunity to join the Schools' Safeguarding Team as an Administrative Assistant. 

Based within the Virtual School the team works to ensure that the Local Authority’s statutory duties and other responsibilities for safeguarding children are met in all schools and settings. This small, but exceptionally busy team of 5, provides support and a range of services to all schools and alternative providers in Northumberland and the work delivered varies every day, with the ability to be self motivated essential. 

The postholder will report to the Schools' Safeguarding Team Manager and will be based at Northumbria House, Cramlington. The successful applicant will be expected to work term time only.

Requirements:

The successful applicant will provide comprehensive admin support to the Schools' Safeguarding Team. In addition to standard administrative tasks such as typing, data processing, ordering supplies and budget management (with the team manager) the successful candidate will provide support to ensure the team’s training programme is delivered successfully. This latter role will involve the management of bookings and support to prepare training resources. The post holder will also have regular contact with schools therefore confidence in their ability to communicate with head teachers and other managers is essential.

You will have considerable experience of using the required skills in a recent role and be confident using various systems including working with data. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to meet deadlines are essential.
